Dighori Kyanite Mine is a private manual mines at Kh. No.155, Dighori(Mothi), Tah.Lakhandur, Dist.Bhandara,(M.S.) 441805. Lease granted by Government of Maharashtra for the minerals Kyanite, Silliminite, Pyrophillite by order no. MMN-1620/8020/Desk-4 on dated 11/08/2000 and Quartzite by order no.MMN-1620/8020/Ind-9 on dated 20/05/2003 in the name of Shri. P.M.Golchha.

Currently Siliminite mining is continuous as a Major mineral mining and Quartzite as a Minor mineral mining.

1) General Working of quarry/pit :

I) a) Height of Bench : 2 mt. in soft, alluvial & murum. 3.5 mt. in Hard face.

b)Width of Bench: 2.5 to 3mt.

c)Angle of Slope : 600

II) Overhang/Undercutting : No Overhang/Undercut.

III) Loose at the top of edge of : No loose is present within a 3 m from top Excavation edge.

IV) Soil bank & Ore stacks : Height is properly maintained and stacked to the natural angle of repose.

V) General Cleanness, layout & : Maintained neat & clean benches. Up keep of Benches.

VI) Fencing & foot paths : Temporally fencing is done & foot path is also maintained.

2) Explosives :

Slurry Explosive cartridges of 1 to 1.5 Kg Wt purchased and carried by blasting contractor and shotfired by him in presence of certified blaster. Our work is only to make blast hole of size 30mm dia and depth will be varied from 2.5 ft. to 5 ft. Spacing of two hole is 3 feet and vertical spacing 2 feet. V- Pattern used. At one time 350 hole are drilled and total 400 kg charged and blast by electronic detonater. Debries are collecting by 220 Tata Hitachi Excavater( Crawler mounted, cap 13 ltr/ Hr) and material carried by Hiwa tata tipper. And remaining material is cleaning by 70 Tata excavater. (Crawler Mounted, 6 ltr/Hr).

Logistic : Finished Material(Silliminite, Kyanite,And Quartzite) transported by local trucks supplied by local transporter and through them material dispatches to all over India. Kyanite and silliminite mostly used in refractory for making fire bricks and castable, main content for grading is Al2O3 Above 40% and Below 40% , Fe2O3(Max 1%). And Quartzite of 98% Sio2 sale for making Ramming mass and rejected quartzite is sale for Road material.
Crsher Information :- Jaw Crusher double toggle sizes 20-10 capacity 10 MT/Hour is mostly used for primary crushing of quartzite about 10 to 20, 20 to 40 and 40 to 60 mm making sizes.

b) Effective suppression of dust :- Dust – Mask provided.
c) Effective measures to present :- Small vibrating screens are there & material raising of dust during screening is wet so not dust production and loading.
